I have a '63 Fender Music Master that I purchased from a guy. Original finish was that two-toned sunburst (maroon burst?) used for this entry level guitar. He tried to refinish it to some red color. I have the alder body bare now and am wanting to finish it in a color of the day (Fender did shoot some of these in their classic colors). The neck is beautifully natural aged...I'm not doing anything to it. Would want the colored body looking like it was perfectly aged 50+ years as well. I'm not looking for a player, just a guitar for display in my music room. Would the tinted aerosol clear coat sold by ReRanch look good? Any tips or hints? Thanks.

Not typically. All it would do is give it a tinted look depending on what color you have.
