Any suggestions on a lacquer to replicate Fender's Noir series (satin black) finish? I've got a strat body lying around that is a perfect candidate.

I use Behlen's Jet Spray for most of my satin and flat black finishes. They are nitro. I also use Duplicolor Perfect Match Flat Black alone and sometimes even clear it with 2K.

I just finished doing a strat in Duplicolor flat black and used a gloss black pickguard, satin pickup covers/knobs, gloss output jack. Sort of a black out theme. The kid really liked it

John Deere blitz black. Worked great every time I used it.

You can use any flat paint you want, just make sure that it's compatible with anything else you use.

Incompatibility is where most people run into problems.

I forgot Blitz Black, used it on my engine bay during my 81 Toyota 4x4 rebuild. Goes on very easy with even coloring and easily repaired. It is an enamel
