I've finished my knotty pine tele in Bullseye Amber Shellac. Done about 9 coats, in the first 6 I sanded and cleaned in between coats and did no more than 3 a day. Any advice on what to do next for a little more protection? I've got a can of Nitro...

Basically the applied shellac is your sealer coats. If you like the coloring, the level sand up to 400 grit with no shiny spots. Wipe with naptha and start your clear coats. I shoot 9-12 coats using the Rules of Three. Let cure for a month, wet sand up to 2000 grit then polish out
