Thanks! Tell me did you spray it dry and in varying patterns per Reranch directions or were you able to to just spray in a straight line? You did such a good job that I thought I would ask.

random angles, very dusty, once i got even coverage i did random sweeps at angles ,even with the body almost level with the spray.. until the body looked like it was covered with sparkle dust that could be blown off, it took a lot of clear to burry it Confused

I put multiple coats of white duplicolor primer on the headstock, block sanded very lightly with 320 fine grit, then buffed it with 0000 steel wool, my question is how fine should i get them primer before the color coat?

Is there a source for that paint locally? Michael's, etc?

Every hobby store I have been in stocks it. About $5 a can. It goes on pretty evenly and doesn't require a lot, just a few cans. If you get it I recommend heating the can in warm water and cleaning the nozzle in between coats. This stuff does like to spit and sputter...Dean

Let this be a lesson to anyone wanting to use Deft, that shite stays soft. A huge gouge was discovered on the back, I stripped it back to bare wood and started over with testors discontinued Diamond green, amazing color BTW. My mate did a rough up job on the routing so I sold it on ebay to one of the big custom pickguard makers out there. He finished it to perfection:

AND FINALLY TO THIS:

Honestly I wish I could have seen it through but tour beckoned and I snagged a Phantom XII.

while the color appears like a fender pastel such as foam or faded surf, maybe even sea-sick sonic, in person it shows off a lovely zombie yellow-green color, like a sea-sick oly white.
