That's not such a bad price, well for the UK anyway, most are going for 149 here.

On Tuesday the one I went with was the only one showing on price comparison sites, their starting to pop up all over today but at much higher prices, looks like I got one at the right time.

Oh... I'm not complaining. It is just $10 above what the big box stores charge for them and I have to pay shipping which the big box store give away free.

Nobody has them in stock... $211 is what I ended up paying in total. If it rocks... it was worth it.

I think it sounds world class to me...

Yes, the new Class5's have a different back and no rattles. It's a very well rated amp. I didn't comment on it because I haven't had the chance to try it. By all means, don't rule it out.

I ordered one in June and sent it back because it still rattled. But it does sound great

That might be tube rattle and not something that is linked to the construction of the cab.

Looks to be a well built little amp.
Nice to see the sockets, jacks and pots chassis mounted.

Bought a Bugera V5 on my lunchbreak. I'll NEVER buy a new toy on my lunchbreak again. Makes the rest of the day miserable. Stoked to play with it though! Very Happy

Got the lil VHT today... I like it. It is rude... when eveything is dimed with the boost engaged. Twisted Evil

It is not nearly as loud as the Class 5 though.... Gonna try a Greenback with it. Right now I am using a 1966 CTS Alnico 12" speaker....

I can get good tone all over the place but I have to use the boost to get that edgy sound... it won't get there without help.

It is a nice, clean well built head...

As a bonus... you get to listen to the radio while you're playing too! Laughing

There is a simple fix for this .... add a 68K grid stopper resistor on the input.

Or so I have read anyway.... http://www.tdpri.com/forum/shock-brothers-diy-amps/207986-vht-special-6-mod-thread.html

It is sounding better and better.... it might be that I switched from the Flying V to the Les Paul too.... Got to love those 57 Classic pickups... just so tasty....
