Got this old Supro lap steel pup fitted to the donor project . Now I KNOW what all the fuss is about with these for slide. . Sound clips asap. (Once I stop playing it & fit the knobs ! )
I tried the Teisco gold foil at the neck , I thought this ceramic 'bucker ( epi) sounded better. The center plexi panel needs a few more screws, Later.

They certainly have " the voice " for slide. Hard to locate without wrecking a nice old steel , or paying $350 for the Lollar remake.
Also as I mentioned in an earlier thread, if the magnets aren't in proper polarity all sorts of string balance problems arise. |

Now you have me looking for a lap steel...The have been a bunch lately.
but convincing the Mrs might be a problem right now.
