Which of these dyes for my A&D body?

The Transtint green is very nice - I think they replaced it not too long ago. It replaced "bright green"... this new one is nice and dark.


I wonder how much different the same color would look over the alder back as compared to the maple front - would they match close enough or would it look wrong since the alder is naturally darker?

I've been eyeballing that cordovan dye for a long time now. I think it's a really cool and unusual color for a guitar.

The way I always see it in my head is a a cap on a bound, really dark brown body...but I can see medium brown looking good, too, if you didn't go too dark on the cordovan.

And actually all your color choices sounded good to me. Order more bodies, do one of each? Wink

Thanks Kevin... I agree about the back of the Cordovan needing to be a dark brown, it should be darker than the front... I shouldn't have put medium brown with it on the poll... I actually think maybe doing Cordavan on the back as well as the front would be good (the alder might cause it to naturally be a shade darker than the front) - what do you think?
