OK, I'm going to ask for color suggestions for this body.
It has a flamed maple cap with a one piece alder back.
The back will probably go with a semi natural amber or light brown.
Of course this will be a transparent finish.
Just so you know I already have a green, red, black, dark blue, butterscotch, and tobacco burst guitar.
I'm having a difficult time deciding on a color.
Here is the victim.

Looks like it's already dyed with a light amber...or is that a sealer coat?

I don't know Chris when I see that picture I think more in line of a cherry burst.
I don't think I want that much red in it.
Maybe more of a tobacco or vintage burst if I was going with a burst.
Amber center, with a fade to medium brown.
But thanks that is a cool color. Cool

That's the eBay picture and the wood was dampened with naphtha to show the grain.

I voted translucent green. Honeyburst would be cool too, though. I am sure whatever you go with will be georgeous. That's a nice looking flame top.

I like the idea of a honey burst, especially with that binding - plus your tobacco just sounds lonely amid all those solids/translucents. Very Happy

P.S.: Where'd you pick up that body? I have an older project from A&D on eBay that looked a lot like that - great body.
