I don't think so, I think tube rectifiers supplies voltage to the power tubes and is not recommend to be a substitute of each other. But I'm not sure.

I'm not a technician but members like tangelolemon or Tom could tell you if this is possible.

Victoria amps, very nice. Razz

got an answer from Mark Baier, he said the superior quality transformer and speaker size is what makes the difference.

So many boutique replicate the Bassman '59 Tweed but Victoria's model was one of the best during a shoot out.

The Victoria 5112 is basically a 5F1 Champ amp with a 12" speaker.
It probably sounds awesome!
So you are saying that your amp came with a 5AR4 rectifier?
A 5AR4 only drops about 17 volts so it will sound cleaner with that tube than any of the other rectifier tubes.

A 5Y3 drops 60v off of the B+ voltage. A 5AR4 only drops around 17v.
I'm kind of surprised that his amp has that tube in it since the 5F1 Fender used a 5Y3 tube originally.

Since Mark built the amp, I would go by what he says about what tubes to use in the amp.

I bought it off a guy on ebay and it has a gz34/5ar4 in it when I got it, but it comes with that or the 5y3. They are both listed on the tube chart.
