Call me crazy but I really like the current satin finish Fender is putting on their necks. I've done both lacquer and tru-oil and those are great but I have a MIM strat neck and it feels fantastic.

I tried Minwax satin poly in a can - 3 coats - and it feels "dusty" compared to the Fender finish. Do I need to buff it up or something or should I be shooting an auto-grade urethane?
