I just apply it with a soft cotton rag, rubbing rather vigorously in circles, let it dry, then buff it out by hand.

I find it better to use a real black spray on the edge, rather than trying to make the dark color of the two color kit black with multiple passes as is suggested on the products page.

Epoxy isn't hard to use. Just make sure you trowel it nice and flat while it's wet. That makes sanding so much easier. Make sure you don't leave any runs, high spots, or drips. I prefer an epoxy that ...

I used a similar type of truss rod (not allparts, but the same design), and routed the channels using this drawing. You route a little deeper into the neck and slightly wider for the adjusting nut.
