Are you spraying the TO or wiping it on?
wiping- this pic is BEFORE and coats of oil.

4 very, very thin coats so far a it looks better, but still similar.

I've sprayed nitro in the winter - I leave the bodies hanging in my unheated garage/work shop and bring the cans of spray inside with me. Never had an issue.

I'm in NJ.

Why donít you spray the Truoil over the shellac? I used it for a top coat, mixed 75/25 with naptha, with about an hour between coats. That should act like a lacquer top coat and fill the orange peel. ...

I've been doing sunbursts with water based dyes from Stew mac. I find it to be more forgiving, and easier to get a natural looking transition as opposed to spraying.
