I use naphtha. Maybe the primer wasn't dry yet? I've never had a problem with it coming off..

Hmm I wouldn't paint gold on a guitar and then transport it without a clear on it, that a guarantee for some messed up gold when you open the case. That stuff is finicky,

That is fantastic. I really like it when wood looks like wood.

On the cocobolo wood, I have worked on a couple. It didn't take long to figure out I needed a mask for sanding it.

That is rosewood. I'm not sure which one though. While working on it I kept thinking it was too bad the back wasn't the front. The back is a lot richer looking.
