TSP usually works and should not affect the ABS binding. Try under fingerboard area first. Is the stains glue or from oil?

Iíve used truOil on redwood acoustics before. It is soft and wears out pretty fast, but easy to touch up..and looks great if you like that warn look.

I spray lacquer of the 1970's fender finish. No problem I've encountered.

You are correct. 90's SG neck.

70s would probably also have a volute and a much shorter serial number.

Top coat locks it all together. It melts a slight bit into each color and softens the burst line.

To each there own on how to spray the burst. But I've been most successful from center out because ...

I would first try a tube over the top. If that doesn't work, then glue in Allen wrench.
