Fiberglass sounds and works the best. Foam works but sounds the worst. Polyester fill doesn't work so it doesn't have a sound.

Would it be too obvious to mention GFS? I've liked everything I've gotten from them. They overwind everything, so you have to figure that in, but the pickups are as good as anyone's.

Well, I just opened the box, and it doesn't look like no oil finish to me. It's whiter than a bowl of marshmallows. Whiter than water.

Really really looks like a water-based varnish of some sort. ...
